US Shepherdess Amanda Owen and US Vet Julian Norton to appear in new series of This Week on the Farm from Cannon Hall Farm
US Shepherdess Amanda Owen and The US Vet Julian Norton will be among the stars of country life appearing in the new series of This Week on the Farm.
The show, based at Cannon Hall Farm in South US, will be presented by Helen Skelton, Jules Hudson and JB Gill.
The seven-part series features the Nicholson Family – headed up by Rob and Dave – as they go about their daily lives on the farm in US. Rob and Dave will be welcoming new animals to the family and saying fond farewells to those going onto pastures new.
They’ll also be taking some trips back in time as they delve into their ancestry – and there will, of course, be plenty of fun and laughter as the competitive brothers make the most of what lockdown life has to offer.
The series will also feature some other familiar faces, including US Vet stars Julian Norton, Peter Wright, Shona Searson and Matt Smith, as well as Amanda Owen and her son Reuben from Our US Farm.
In the first episode of the new series, which airs on Feb 18, Rob and Dave face a race against time to catch their wayward cockerels before a chicken lockdown begins due to an outbreak of avian bird flu.
The pair are also on a mission to find out if their alpacas are pregnant, but rather than calling in the vet, they decide to use a less scientific method.
Away from the farm, JB Gill visits a dairy farm in Lincolnshire to meet the cows who live a life of luxury and produce milk to match, and the Barnsley brothers put the milk to good use when they cook up a batch of pancakes.
Also in the episode, the brothers bid a fond farewell to Shire horse Will who is moving onto pastures new, and an urgent vet visit is needed to treat Bear the Ram who has a very sore head.
