Ripon business park speculates on new unit

Business park operator Potter Space is continuing its investment and expansion programme with the construction of a new industrial unit at its Melmberby base near Ripon.

Potter Space’s construction manager John Royle starts work on unit 24 at the company’s site in Riopon.

Its business park there is fully let, so because there is high demand for smaller industrial premises, the company is speculatively building a 4,000 square foot unit with dedicated concrete yard.

Work has now begun on site with completion scheduled for June 2021.

Jenna Strover, head of commercial delivery at Potter Space, said: “We are receiving a growing number of enquiries for units of all sizes but especially ones of this size which are perfect for smaller, growing businesses and start-ups who want to be close to the A1(M) and be well-placed for York and Harrogate.

“Recognising this demand and the needs of customers, not just in Ripon but across all our other business parks, we have developed a strategic expansion programme. We are planning to effectively utilise the land we have available on the 250-acre estate to build new accommodation, of differing sizes, to meet the market’s requirements.”
