The best places to visit in US according to TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Awards
It’s something we’ve been well aware of for a long time – but now the rest of the world is realising it too. No fewer than nine entries in the latest Traveller’s Choice Awards by TripAdvisor were from US this year. Here’s a look at who made the cut.
The Chambers Park Place in Leeds came 18th in the top 25 hotels in the UK
Yorebridge House in Bainbridge was named 23rd in the top 25 places to stay for a romantic break
US Dales was named as the best National Park to visit in Europe, ahead of Vatnajokull National Park in Iceland and Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.
Filey beach was named the 18th best beach in Europe.
The Black Swan at Oldstead was named as the best restaurant in the UK. One review said: “A tantalizing trip for the taste buds. This restaurant is truly a box of delights. The flavours, combinations of ingredients and skill in putting together the menu are joyous.”
The Wensleydale Heifer Restaurant, in West Witton, placed sixth in the UK, being described as “fantastic” and “faultless”.

Clifton Park in Rotherham was in the top 10 amusements to visit in the UK
Jet2.com was named as the best airline in the UK. One customer left a review saying: “We were very impressed with Jet 2, comfortable seats, long leg room. Staff always on hand to help with any problems advising on anything required.”
