US hospitality brand Shoot the Bull to open new food hall in former Jamie's Italian restaurant in Harrogate
The company behind a new Harrogate food hall with five gourmet-style kitchens and a coffee house has announced it will open next month.
Solita Food Hall will occupy the former Wagyu and Jamie’s Italian building on Parliament Street, with indoor dining across two floors and an outdoor roof terrace with room for up to 60 people.
Under the government’s roadmap out of lockdown, outdoor hospitality can return from April 12. This is when the venue will open its rooftop area, before the full food hall experience with its wider food and drinks offerings will open on May 17.
The food hall is the latest venture for Hull hospitality company Shoot the Bull which runs restaurants in Manchester, York, Hull and Beverley.
Chief executive Chris Harrison said: “Harrogate has always been a place I love to visit. We worked as a pop-up five years ago in a pub and had such a great response to our food.
“Now five years later on the opportunity to take such a large site has presented itself and my ambition to launch an exciting diverse and engaging food hall concept can come to life.”
The food hall will be open seven days a week from 9am and will also offer a takeaway service
Mr Harrison said he hoped to work with different street vendors and that customers would be able to order food including rotisserie chickens, wagyu steaks, burgers, fish and pizza through a mobile app.
He added: “We can’t wait to welcome the people of Harrogate to taste some exciting dishes, drink innovative cocktails and socialise as we did once upon a time again.”
