The Sheffield-based firm will build the cultural and social building known as Cambridge Street Collective and Elshaw House – a new low carbon office building.

A planning application for the two developments, which are being delivered by Sheffield City Council and strategic development partner Queensberry, was approved towards the end of 2020. Henry Boot Construction is getting work underway this week, with a completion target towards the end of 2022.

Cambridge Street Collective, which also incorporates the Bethel Sunday School and Bethel Chapel, is viewed as the ‘cultural heart’ of the wider masterplan.

Elshaw House is a dark metal building that will incorporate approximately 70,000 sq ft of office space over seven floors. The building aims to be net zero carbon ready and contribute to the Sheffield City Council’s long-term ambitions to create a more sustainable and greener city centre.
